When making and adapting ocular prostheses for children particular empathy and experience are required.
Since 1994 during our monthly office hours in other cities we have been intensely operating with the ophthalmic clinic of the University of Rostock/ previously Prof. Guthoff/ now Prof. Dr. Dr. T. Fuchsluger (www.augenklinik.med.uni-rostock.de, Guthoff- Implant, pediatric care anophthalmos and microphthalmos). In cooperation with Prof. Schittkowski/ Göttingen (orbit expander) we have for many years now been attending to numerous „young“ patients. The retinoblastoma clinic in Essen regard us as competent partners for Northern Germany. By close cooperation with all relevant experts we try to ensure optimum care for each individual child concerned.
